Freak Train leaves the station every last Monday of the month (except December... sometimes) at the Bug Theatre in Denver, CO. $5 gets you unlimited access to singers, comedians, actors, dancers, clowns, magicians, dorks, geeks, and freaks, plus a couple kegs of ice cold beer. PERFORMERS sign up at 7pm for 12 open slots. The show, hosted by GerRee Hinshaw, begins at 8pm. Our longest-running – and quite possibly Denver’s longest running – show is still going! Freak Train has been the best open-mic/variety show in town since 2000! ​ Hosted by GerRee Hinshaw and “The Guy in the Booth” Alex Weimer, Freak Train defies description. It leaves the station every last Monday of the month (except December… sometimes). The first 12 people to sign up get 5 minutes to do anything they want on The Bug Stage (well, just about anything). It might be the best 5 minutes of your life, it might be the worst. Either way, there’s free beer!
